This policy explains how EmberCraft Fireplace Company Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you contact us or use this website. We are the data controller for the information you provide.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, by email, by phone or via WhatsApp, we collect the information you choose to give us, typically your name, email address, telephone number and the details of your enquiry. We do not collect special-category data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your information solely to respond to your enquiry, to provide a quote, and to carry out and support any work you ask us to do. Our lawful basis is:

  • Legitimate interests: responding to an enquiry you have sent us; and
  • Contract: taking steps at your request before, and during, any work we carry out for you.

We will never use your details for marketing without your consent, and we never sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers that help us run the website and respond to you:

  • Web3Forms: delivers our contact-form submissions to our inbox. See their privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts: our typefaces are served by Google, which receives your IP address as part of delivering the fonts. See Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, where you become a customer, for as long as we are required to keep records relating to the work (including for tax and safety-certification purposes). After that, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Cookies

This is a simple brochure website and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not set any cookies of our own. When you submit the contact form, your details are processed by Web3Forms to deliver them to us. Google Fonts does not set cookies but does receive your IP address when fonts are loaded. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@embercraft.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
